MLB Compliance Upgrades & Facility Modernization | Stockton, CA

HAGGERTY completed a comprehensive renovation and modernization of Banner Island Ballpark to bring the facility into full compliance with Major League Baseball (MLB) Player Development League (PDL) standards.

The project was driven by a league-mandated facility audit and required a series of targeted upgrades across player, staff, and public-facing areas, all executed within an existing, operational stadium environment and on a defined compliance timeline.

Scope included the reconfiguration and expansion of player development facilities, including conversion of an existing batting tunnel into a conditioned weight room and hospitality space, as well as construction of a new 3,500 SF batting and pitching facility. Additional improvements included locker room expansions and full program upgrades for both home and visiting teams, including new commissary areas, training support spaces, and MLB-compliant amenities.

HAGGERTY also completed new female staff locker facilities, relocation of operational infrastructure to improve service access, and upgrades to support evolving league requirements for staff accommodations and inclusivity.

Facility-wide improvements included replacement of all seating within the bowl, installation of new LED field lighting to meet MLB performance standards, expansion of the batter’s eye for field-of-play compliance, and repainting of exposed structural steel elements to restore durability and appearance.

Site and operational enhancements included secure player parking with controlled access, improved circulation, and targeted exterior upgrades to support both player operations and fan experience.

This project demonstrates HAGGERTY’s ability to deliver complex, phased renovations within active public venues, coordinating multiple scopes to meet strict regulatory requirements, fixed deadlines, and operational constraints, while extending the long-term performance and usability of the facility.
