Central Valley Commercial Construction: HAGGERTY’s Q2 2026 Update

Company Updates

Quarter 2 of 2026 kept the pace up on HAGGERTY’s Central Valley commercial construction work. The team passed 100 employees, RHINO Restores stepped forward under its new name, and every division, Advise, Build, Restore, and Maintain, kept projects moving on schedule. For context on how the year started, see our Q1 2026 update.

Here’s a look at what defined Quarter 2.

Safety Focus: Staying Sharp When the Job Feels Routine

This quarter’s safety message came back to a simple point: most incidents don’t come from someone not knowing the procedure. They come from attention drifting on a task that’s been done a hundred times before.

Familiarity is the real risk on a job site. Staying sharp comes down to a few habits:

  • Taking short breaks before fatigue sets in
  • Running through hazards, PPE, and tools before starting a task
  • Stopping for two minutes to assess the surroundings before diving in
  • Keeping phones away and staying aware of moving equipment
  • Speaking up when feeling stressed or overworked
  • Following procedures every time, even on routine tasks

Employee Recognition

Quarter 2 honored two employees for the impact they’ve had on the company.

Jairo Leal-Leon has been with HAGGERTY for 11 years and is known for solid carpentry skills, a positive attitude, and always being willing to help a teammate.

April Perkins joined the team and quickly rebuilt the certified payroll compliance process, opening the door to funded projects the company couldn’t bid on before. She has also led cross-training sessions to bring others up to speed.

A number of team members were recognized as runner-ups, reflecting the depth of talent across the company.

Team members can nominate a coworker for next quarter through Miter. The winner receives a reserved parking spot and one paid day off.

Advise Projects: Coordinating Central Valley Commercial Construction Before It Starts

Arbor Holly Building

The Advise team bid a tenant improvement for a paint supply company occupying a large portion of a warehouse for a longtime development partner, including:

  • Remodel of the existing tenant office space
  • A containment room for hazardous materials storage
  • High pile racking and additional offices with a relaxation room
  • Air Pear fans for warehouse air distribution in place of HVLS fans
  • Forklift and pallet jack charging stations, a tinting area, and a receiving area

Weekly OAC meetings with the owner’s architect and the client have kept the tenant and landlord scopes aligned. The project heads to permit in July, with the tenant targeting occupancy in January 2027.

Benjamin Moore Tenant Improvement

HAGGERTY is partnering again with a longtime development client on a tenant improvement that transforms approximately 98,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space into Benjamin Moore’s new Northern California distribution facility, featuring:

  • Administrative offices, conference and training rooms, and employee break areas
  • Locker rooms with showers and a paint tinting area
  • A warehouse logistics command center and forklift charging areas
  • High pile storage racking and a hazardous containment room
  • A covered employee patio, emergency generator enclosure, and accessible site improvements

Before construction begins, the Advise team has worked through ongoing OAC meetings, design development, constructability reviews, and budget alignment, refining the design and keeping the project matched to the client’s goals well ahead of ground breaking. Central Valley Commercial Construction Projects

2600 Stanford Ct Warehouse Renovation

This multi-part project for CBRE includes:

  • Replacement of more than 60 dock levelers, restraints, and safety equipment
  • Four restroom renovations
  • 50,000 linear feet of joint filler removal and replacement
  • 200,000 square feet of efflorescence repair

The facility operates as an active storage, distribution, and production site throughout construction, requiring on-site coordination with staff, safety officers, and ownership to limit risk while work continues. HAGGERTY has kept each section of the building safe and functional while the tenant’s operations carry on without interruption.

Le Petit Elephant Daycare

This project renovates and converts a church more than 70 years old, located in Napa, into a new daycare facility. Throughout construction, the team worked through several unforeseen challenges, including:

  • Lead and asbestos found in the existing walls and flooring
  • Extensive ADA upgrades to bring the exterior site into code compliance
  • Ongoing coordination with a neighboring community coalition opposed to the development

HAGGERTY adapted to each challenge and maintained open communication with the community and the City of Napa throughout the process.

Together, these two jobs capture what Central Valley show our capabilities to update older buildings to modern code, and operate while the facility is in operation

Restoration Projects: Fast Response, Full-Service Execution

Fire loss restoration requires rebuilding every affected system, from framing to finishes.

Home Fire Restoration

Fire damage affected the living room, master bedroom, bathroom, hallway, and adjacent interior spaces in this home. The scope included:

  • Removal and replacement of damaged drywall, insulation, flooring, windows, doors, trim, baseboards, cabinets, fixtures, and finishes
  • Smoke odor control through sealing of studs, attic framing, and ceiling joists
  • New texture, primer, paint, and finish carpentry
  • Vinyl plank installation, wood floor sanding and sealing, carpet replacement, and transition details

Emergency board-up and site security work stabilizes a fire-damaged property in the hours after a loss.

Home Fire Restoration, Emergency Response

This job started as an after-hours emergency response to a residential property with significant fire damage to the garage and interior living areas. Crews provided:

  • Temporary fencing and boarding of windows, doors, and side fencing
  • Roof penetration tarping
  • Debris removal to reduce further exposure

The priority was stabilizing the property, preventing unauthorized access, and setting up a safe path toward inspection, mitigation, and restoration planning. Learn more about our rapid-response capabilities on the Emergency Restoration services page.

Facilities & Maintenance Division: Small Projects, Big Impact

Small-scope repairs, handled well, protect long-term relationships with clients.

La-Z-Boy Corte Madera Drywall Repairs

The Facilities & Maintenance team completed drywall repairs in the showroom following roof leaks that occurred over the winter without regularly scheduled maintenance in place.

St Bernard’s Library Foundation Repair

The Facilities & Maintenance team completed foundation repairs and installed new flooring in the library at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

These projects reflect a principle the team holds to: how the small jobs get handled often decides whether a client comes back with the big ones. Details on this service are available on our Preventive Maintenance page.

Culture, Training, and Recognition

The HAGGERTY team gathers for a company-wide potluck and team bonding event.

Beyond project work, Quarter 2 reflected continued investment in people and culture.

  • Regular team bonding and potluck events kicked off this quarter, giving the crew a chance to take a break, share a meal, and check in with each other
  • Semi-annual all-hands meetings brought the team together to realign as the company passed 100 employees
  • The marketing team joined CREW, ACRE, and the Sacramento Metro Chamber as part of an ongoing push into the Sacramento market
  • The AI Committee continued testing and rolling out AI tools across the company
  • The ETP training program reached 94.6 percent of its 6,080-hour goal, with 5,752 hours logged this quarter

These initiatives point to the same idea: growth at HAGGERTY depends on the people doing the work, not just the projects on the board.

Looking Ahead: A Word From Leadership

This quarter’s note from leadership opened with a story about picking up loose change off the ground and dropping it into a jar at home, a habit kept up for years. The point tied back to the company: the changes happening at HAGGERTY are adding up in a similar way.

A few examples from this quarter:

  • Several core software platforms were rebuilt with open API compatibility, setting up future AI integration across the organization
  • The Lunchbox, a new space for the team dedicated to breaks, meetings, and gatherings, is on track for completion by the end of August
  • Outside sales are bringing in opportunities the company hasn’t seen before
  • HAGGERTY has completed projects in verticals it hadn’t worked in previously, and closed with clients it has pursued for years

The note closed with a reminder: when the outside world changes faster than the inside of a business, that business falls behind. Staying curious is how HAGGERTY plans to keep up.

Final Thoughts

Quarter 2 showed a company still growing its Central Valley commercial construction work, still investing in its people, and still delivering across every phase of the construction lifecycle, from Advise through Maintain. The focus going into Quarter 3 stays the same: execute well, respond fast, and build relationships that last. Learn more about our team and history on our About page.
